Description
Belper Knolle AKA the Cheese Truffle, is a strong peppery cheese that makes an amazing garnish on salads or pastas. Its garlic and peppery taste adds a kick and flavor depth to many dishes.
This cheese is infused with pink Himalayan salt and freshly ground cloves of garlic which are then rolled in freshly toasted crushed peppercorns before aging. During aging we allow a light coat of penicillium to form before brushing it down which adds an additional depth of flavor to this magnificent little gem.
You will want to use a sharp pairing knife or a truffle shaver to slice this thin for use as a garnish.
Ingredients: Pasteurized Milk, Peppercorns, Garlic, Salt, Microbial Coagulant, Cultures.
